Chocolate Chip Oat Cookies

I know, I know, another chocolate chip cookie recipe. But really, it was more of I needed something that didn't take forever and I found a super easy, yummy recipe. I brought them to a friend that just had a baby and then took the rest to my organ class. They were a huge hit and, the best part, they are really easy. It comes from a cookbook called Kids Cake Mix Fun. It is an awesome cookbook and has lots of good ideas. Enjoy!!

Chocolate Chip Oat Cookies
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. uncooked old-fashioned oats
3/4 c. semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper. Combine cake mix and baking powder in large bowl. Add oil, eggs, adn vanilla.

Beat until well blended. Stir in oats and chocolate chips.

Drip dough by slightly rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto prepared cookie sheets.

Bake 10 minutes or until golden brown. Do not over bake! Let cookies stand on cookie sheets 5 minutes; transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
