Teriyaki Chicken and Rice

Simple.  Easy. Fast.  Three best descriptions of a meal ever! Enjoy!

 
Teriyaki Chicken and Rice
Recipe from: While He Was Napping
Pre-cooked Chicken  (I typically keep grilled chicken in the freezer for stuff like this)
Rice (I used minute rice)
1/4 cup Brown Sugar
1/4 cup Soy Sauce
3 Tbsp of Ketsup
1/4 cup water
In a bowl, mix brown sugar, soy sauce, water and ketsup.  Stir until well blended.  Set aside.  Measure out enough rice to feed your family.   Measure out the correct amount of liquid for your rice.  Since the sauce is a liquid, use 3/4 of the water called for (does that make sense!?).  Put into a pot and start it on medium heat.  After the rice is almost done cooking, dice the chicken and dump it in the pot as well.  I usually serve it with steamed veggies  or mix the veggies right in..  Super simple and prep time is like ten minutes max.
