Apple Crisp

I have an abundance of apples now that they are coming on. I need to use them before they rot on my counter so for Family Home Evening, I made this crisp. It was so good!! I got it from Kraft foods. it is simple and so good!! Enjoy!

Apple Crisp
1/2 c. quick oats
3 Graham crackers, finely crushed
1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 c. flour
1/4 c. walnut pieces
1/3 c. butter, melted
1 tsp. ground cinnamon, divided
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 tbsp. flour
6 c. peeled apple slices (about 5 medium apples)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix oats, graham crumbs, 1/3 cup EACH of the brown sugar and flour, the walnuts, butter and 1/2 tsp. of the cinnamon until well blended; set aside. mix 1/2 c. brown sugar, 2 tbsp. flour and remaining 1/2 tsp. cinnamon in large bowl. Add apples; toss to coat. Place in 8 inch square baking pan; sprinkle with the oat topping. Bake 35-40 minutes or until apples are tender. Cool slightly.

  1. Yummy, that sounds good. My apples still need a good frost before they are ready, but I am waiting patiently. Love you.
