Morning Delight Casserole

This is a casserole recipe I found in Gooseberry Casserole cookbook. I have had something similar, but decided to make this for breakfast this morning. It turned out great. It will definitely be made again! Enjoy!

Morning Delight Casserole
2 8 oz. tubes refrigerated crescent rolls, divided
2 8 oz. pkgs. cream cheese, softened
1 egg
1 tbsp. almond extract
1 c. sugar
Cinnamon sugar, to taste
Press on tube of crescent rolls into the bottom of a greased 13x9 baking pan; seal seams. Set aside.

Mix cream cheese, egg, extract and sugar in a bowl;

Spread over rolls in pan.

Top with remaining crescent rolls; sprinkle to taste with cinnamon sugar.

Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes, or until rolls underneath are no longer gooey.
