4th of July Tie Dye Cake

I had seen this recipe all over pinterest, but all i could think was, there is no way that is going to work.  I thought for sure that the colors would all run together.  Wrong!  It worked wonderfully.  And it is super easy.  I didn't actually use any particular recipe.  I had seen pictures of the cake and decided to just go for it.  How hard could it be coloring white cake batter?  That really is all there is to it!  Enjoy!

4th of July Tie Dye Cake
1 white cake mix
Ingredients to make the cake
Red and Blue coloring, enough drops to make it as dark or light as you want
Frosting
Mix the cake and the ingredients that go in the mix.  Once it is all combined and ready, separate into three bowls.  Dye one red and one blue to your liking.  Now, take spoonfuls of each batter color and drop into greased circle pans.  DO NOT mix!  Just leave it as it is and drop each color until each pan is about half full.  Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes or until golden.  Let cool, stack and frost.
